The specialty of the 5.5m² Mistral Rig is simply the small pack size; (only 1.20 m short bag), and the unbelievably easy handling both when setting up and when surfing itself.

The Dacron sail was specially designed to achieve the ideal angle of attack to the wind in every position, almost independently. This means that the Mistral Rig always develops maximum propulsion even in the most unfavorable, poor wind conditions. This feature always enables the smallest possible and therefore lightest sailing variant to be selected without having to forego sufficient propulsion and thus fun.

The material was deliberately chosen to be monofilm-free in order to achieve a maximum degree of robustness in addition to properties such as independent finding of the wind angle and maximum propulsion with a minimum sail size.
